Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-29
errorbar always sets strictly-necessary cookies — the ones required to sign you in and keep the platform secure — and two first-party cookies that remember which campaign or site brought you here, so that if you create an account we know where it came from. Our page analytics (Vercel Analytics) are cookieless and collect no personal data. The only cookies that need your permission are Google Ads measurement cookies, which let Google see that an ad click led to a sign-up; they are set only after you choose “Allow ads measurement” in the banner. “Essential only” is honoured and remembered. We do not use cross-site tracking or advertising profiles, and nothing is sold. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token | Keeps you signed in after authentication | Strictly necessary | Session / up to 7 days |
| better-auth.csrf | Protects against cross-site request forgery on auth requests | Strictly necessary | Session |
| errorbar-consent (localStorage) | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again | Strictly necessary | Until cleared |
| eb_first, eb_last | Which campaign or site brought you here (utm parameters, referrer, landing page). First-party; read once if you create an account, then deleted. Never shared. | First-party attribution | 90 days |
| _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Google Ads conversion measurement — lets Google see that an ad click led to a sign-up. Only after you allow ads measurement. | Advertising measurement (consent) | Up to 90 days |
Managing cookies
Because these cookies are essential, disabling them in your browser will prevent you from signing in and using the platform. We'll update this page and add a consent choice before introducing any non-essential cookies.
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data. Questions: privacy@errorbar.ai.
